AU; Draco and Hermione sending their children to Hogwarts
Hermione pulled out an old Polaroid camera and watched with amusement as Draco wrinkled his nose. She handed it off to Ginny, who began to take some candids of Mr. and Mrs. Malfoy saying goodbye to their daughter. After a few minutes, Draco was finally fed up and snapped at his wife.
“A muggle camera, really Hermione?” he asked, looking at her like she was a lunatic.
“It’s Rose’s first day of school and it’s a tradition in my family. I have a whole scrapbook full of these things,” she explained as she waved a drying photo in the air, annoyed. “You know how much it bothers me when you make fun of my muggle habits.”
“Yes but why use a muggle camera when you can use the new one I bought you for your birthday last year? You can have moving pictures instead of these dull stills.”
“I LIKE STILLS, DRACO. They capture the moment instead of just people.”
Frustrated, Draco grunted. “Some things never change.”
And as Ginny watched Draco Malfoy and Hermione Granger fight like schoolchildren, she laughed to herself at the truth behind his statement.
